Corrupt Absol[]
This is an Event Absol that was able to be obtained in the wild in an event called Data Corruption. (Released September 25, 2011).
When caught, Corrupt Absol will be holding a ?ell, which is a mysterious corrupt item. When you're in possession of one (in your bag, ones held by Pokémon don't count) and access a link mentioned in the event announcement page, you are strangely urged to proceed (by clicking 'proceed'). Doing so will use up one item.
Once you've used at least one item, Corrupt Absol will vanish from the map, and you may
encounter Shadow Legendary Dogs instead.
Where: Land routes (no water, no fishing)
Appearance%: 0.05% (1 in 2000)
Shiny%: 50% (1 in 2)
Everstone%: 2% (1 in 50) (with Egg Scope) (normal chance of shiny) (can be BP bred) (can be used for BP breeding)
Catch%: 10% with a Poké Ball and a partner other than Lyrit. Edit: Until the end of the event, Corrupt Absol have a standardized 80% catch rate if you use a Great Ball. Lyrit and Mean Look have no effect on this rate.
Misc: Same as normal Absol otherwise. Also same as other events in that Odor Sleuth and Fluffy Tail won't work.
Patch Absol[]
During the event, there was a goal of using at least 5,000 ?ells, and the goal was reached. Until the 20th of October, users were able to find a special "Patch" Absol on the map.

Appearance%: 0.2% (1 in 500)
Shiny%: 50% (1 in 2)
Everstone%: 2% (1 in 50) (with Egg Scope) (normal chance of shiny) (can be BP bred) (can be used for BP breeding)
Catch%: Always 100% regardless of ball type. You can only catch 2 of them per day (catch count rolls over every day at midnight GMT). Z's ability will not read the catch rate correctly.
Holding: Clear Bell. Only the first 6 Absol you catch will be holding Clear Bells. If you catch more, they won't come holding the bells.
Misc: Same as normal Absol otherwise. Also same as other events in that Odor Sleuth and Fluffy Tail won't work except when used in areas where Absol can normally be found.
